I am a Japanese designer. I was born and raised in Japan and have lived in Lausanne since 2011. I love kimonos and do work with traditional kimono fabrics and Japanese fabrics. My name is Aurore, alias Kiseki-Chan, I am a French-Swiss painter. I paint mainly on canvas with acrylic paint. Being passionate about Japan since childhood, I create colorful compositions or fanart inspired by Japanese culture, folklore, yokai, festivals and arts, shintoism, hikifuda and wagara patterns. I also paint Japanese landscapes in watercolor, and compositions with wagara patterns on fans called “uchiwa”.
Emily has been hooked by crochet since 2012. One crochet technique she enjoys is called amigurumi (あみぐるみ). This variant comes to us from Japan and literally means knitted or crocheted plush. For several years, she has also been interested in designing her own patterns. Her inspirations come from nature, the different seasons and my many trips to Japan.
